On May 1st—May Day—people across Maine and the country are rising up to demand justice, equity, and dignity for all workers.

"May Day Strong" actions will unite working people, parents, students, and community members in peaceful protest to call for:

An end to the billionaire takeover and corruption under the Trump administration.
Full funding for public schools, healthcare, and housing for all.
Protection and expansion of Medicaid, Social Security & critical social programs.
An immediate halt to the attacks on immigrants, Black, Indigenous, trans, and other targeted communities.
Union protections, fair wages, and dignity for all workers.
May Day Actions Across Maine

From May 1–3, Mainers are gathering in parks, on bridges, at libraries, post offices, town squares, village greens, and online to demand fairness, workers' rights, and economic justice. Activate Maine is proud to stand with working families and labour unions by amplifying these actions. See the lineup as of April 28 below and find complete location details and updates on our website. Be sure to share your May Day photos with us for a chance to be featured in our gallery!

Conservatives, as well as a majority of Americans, may want to enforce a stricter border policy, but they can not create an alternate history."
