What started with a few rallies has now turned into a wave—spreading across all corners of Maine. On April 19, thousands of Mainers gathered to stand up against attacks on democracy, human rights, and the Constitution coming from the Trump administration.
More than 30 "Day of Action" rallies filled our calendar, stretching from Caribou to York. And Mainers showed up!

Highlights from this mass mobilization:
Portland led with 4,000+ gathering in the streets across two rallies.
Belfast drew 900, Ellsworth had 850, and Freeport saw 650.
500+ demonstrators spanned the Longley Bridge, linking Auburn and Lewiston.
Bangor rallied 500, while 450 showed up in Wells and 300 in Kennebunk.
Outside Sen. Susan Collins' office in Caribou, 200+ gathered.
Norway/Paris saw 150, Machias had 75, Lincoln counted 52, and Millinocket drew 15.

These actions matter. The daily calls, the rallies, the quiet organizing behind the scenes—they all build pressure.

Mark your calendars: the next big day of action is May 1. Details are coming soon. And we’ll be there—because this is about showing up, linking arms, and reminding the powers that be: We are many. We are not going away. Let’s keep building.
